Be on the web market, offering e-commerce services and creating a community for LaFeltrinelly customers.

Il progetto

LaFeltrinelli.it is a "virtual" Feltrinelli store with an endless amount of products. This e-shop lets discover, compare products and interact using community and 2.0 web newest technologies.

The most important technical feature of the LaFeltrinelli.it is that the e-commerce is fully developped using open sources components based on a JEE platform.

The use of Mule, an Enterprise Service Bus, had a special role in the integration of the new application services and existing ones. Magnolia Content Management System is the other application used to develop the project  that helped to maintain time schedule and 

I vantaggi di scegliere l'open source non sono però solamente di natura squisitamente tecnica o economica, ma anche e soprattutto di politica industriale.

The benefis of using open source software are not effecting only the tecnological and economical business sides,  but also the overall industrial policy.

The project has been successfully realized in partnership with Frog and Sinapsi.
