Marazzi Group is the world leader in the design, manufacture and sales of ceramic tiles with a growing presence in sanitary fixtures.
The Group currently boasts manufacturing plants in Italy, Spain, France, Russia and the United States, many commercial branches and showrooms providing work for over 6,000 employees.
The Group’s selection and range of products runs from Porcelain Stoneware, Crystallized Stoneware and Single-fired tiles to the Glass Mosaics, from special floors to ventilated walls, from marble to granite and the other natural stone products, all the way to the sanitary fixtures and furnishings.
Challenge
Offer to web clients a Ragno products catalog based on quality pictures rappresenting all tile collections and their settings.
Ensure a real time update of all products shown in the web site.
The project
113 collections, 4369 products, unknown amount of images.
These are the starting number of a project orientated to bring a paper catalog to the web.
The product catalog, the hardcore of the project, is based on three level: the setting, the series, plain tiles and decors.
Each serie is shown through images and its possible settings, plain tiles and decors are described through orthogonal plan views.
There is also a search area.
The last project task hass been a development of a backend software to support the catalog, filled with original Marazzi data base.

Technology solution
The front-end has been developed using CMS Magnolia 3.6.3.
Spring, Hibernate and Stripe teconologies have been used to develop the catalag back end and its integration with the existing Marazzi one.
